I recently worked with Darek at Systema Construction, Inc and I believe he is one of the best general contractor in Chicago land, his measurements are 100% accurate , clean / crisp with no shortcuts, explains everything in advance, give helpful / very technical suggestions, and works great with customer.
I hired his company for two projects, basement finish and addition of brand new master bathroom at the house extension which was added by previously owners. The work was done with great details and perfection. He always showed up on time and worked full day in order to complete his project within promised timeframe. I loved the fact that he kept everything protected and cleaned up after his work was finished. I'm extremely satisfied with this company and I'm sure to use him again as well as recommend him to all my friends and family. In fact, I am planning to remodel my kitchen in my house and I've already called him for estimate.
By the way, his quotes are very competitive too!!!!!

Darek is by far the best contractor of any type I have ever hired. This review is long overdue as Derek finished our basement about two years ago and I always wanted to say what a great work he did and say how much I appreciate it. Derek’s quote was extremely competitive to begin with. One might think you get what you paid for. Not so with Darek. Darek is a true professional in that he worked while being as least intrusive to our family as possible, calmly answered all of our questions, and his craftsmanship was second to none because he was paying attention every details. He worked very efficiently and cleaned up at the end of each day. I always speak proudly of Derek whenever someone asks about who finished our basement or if someone is looking to do a home remodeling project.

Words cannot express how happy we are with Darek's work! He turned our old, out-dated basement into the most spacious and welcoming family room.
I have worked with a couple of different contractors, and I know from experience that due dates like to shift and communication isn't always on point. This cannot be said about Darek. He communicated with us every step of the project; we knew what was being done and when.
He offered several ideas of his own that ended up working a lot better than what we had in mind originally.
Darek is reliable, honest and caring.
I say caring, because at the end of the project, when all work and clean up was done, he did something I have never seen a worker do. He went that one extra mile to care for me and my family.
The contract included DUCT CLEANING! Darek mentioned that he did the best he could to control the dust (everything was covered, isolated, no dust spread to other parts of the house), however it wouldn't hurt to clean the ducts. Then he had it taken care of.
Now not only do I have a beautiful fully functional basement, I also have CLEAN air ducts, which is something I would have never thought of myself.
I have and will continue to recommend his services to everyone in need of a good, reliable, creative, respectful contractor!

We hired Darek to remodel our basement and to create and install a brand new bathroom in the basement. Darek is an exceptional worker and quite possibly the best contractor we have ever hired.
